The 20 x 60 IS was my third purchase of premium optics from optics trade. The Zeiss 20 x.60 is a very unique binocular , infact the only one of its kind. No company has been able to duplicate it. Imagine a 20 X bino with razor sharp views that can be handheld.!!<br>Optics trade service is top class in terms of correspondence and pricing and courtesy. <br>Hope to shop with them again

Re: Zeiss 20×60 T* S Hello, This looks like a remarkable product. Am I correct in understanding that there is no waterproofing whatsoever? Also, is it correct that there is none of Zeiss' usual gas-purging processes undertaken? I'm curious to know why Zeiss chose not to include some of these excellent features? Thank you for your time

Dear Sir,

thank you for contacting us.

You are correct. This product is filled with neither Nitrogen nor Argon. The reason for this is not entirely known to us, but the most obvious one is that Zeiss considers this not necessary as these binocular is not suitable for hunting or birdwatching but for astronomy which is usually done in good weather conditions.
