Swampfox is a newbie in the world of sports optics, as it was founded in 2018 in Colorado, USA. The name Swampfox pays tribute to Francis Marion, a military officer who was also known as Swamp Fox. Marion fought in the American Revolutionary War thus the names of the company's products are connected to American history. However, their products are manufactured in China.

Swampfox endeavors to provide value for money, at which they are succeeding, especially in the field of red dot sights. The company has not been around for long, but it seems as if Swampfox has a bright future in front of them.

About the Product (1x27)

Swampfox Justice 1x27 is a compact reflex red dot sight that sports a modern appearance. It has many angled cuts, which add to its unique appearance, as well as an elegant design. These models feel robust, as their housing is made of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy.

The Justice models are not equipped with a low Picatinny mount, which implies that they are aimed at handgun users. These red dot sights are great for competitions and open carry conditions. For those not wanting to mount this sight on a rifle with a Picatinny rail, Swampox offers a suitable adapter.

Optics

The red dot sight functions at 1x magnification, which allows the user to have both eyes open while looking through the device. Swampfox Justice features a fully multicoated glass in order to produce a clear, vivid image. Justice also sports an anti-glare lens coating, which virtually eliminates all reflections from the front and back surfaces of the lenses.

Illumination

Swampfox Justice can be purchased only in one version when it comes to illumination, and that is with a red, central dot of a 3 MOA size. The dot produces no star effect.

Swampfox provides 10 levels of illumination, and the user is allowed to manage the intensity with two side buttons. The buttons are flush with the housing and produce crisp clicks. To power on the illumination, the user needs to press the "UP" button. To turn it off, the user needs to hold the "DOWN" button for 3 seconds.

Justice models come with the Shake 'n Wake function, indicating that the device will turn off after four minutes of inactivity to preserve battery life. As soon as the device is moved, the illumination will be back on in an instant. Since this function is fully unobtrusive to the user, deactivation of it is not possible.
