You can measure the BH height you need by using this simple formula: Take the outer diameter of your riflescope's objective, then subtract the tube's diameter, and then divide the result by 2. For example: If your riflescope’s outer objective’s diameter is 60 mm, and your tube diameter is 30 mm, you would subtract 30 from 60 and get 30. Then you would need to divide 30 by 2 to get 15, which would be the shortest BH height that you could choose (15 mm).

For your Leupold VX-R 3-9x40 we would recommend the shortest BH height available.
