Athlon Argos BTR (Bright Tactical Reticle) rifle scopes are the entry level for tactical shooting. The features on this scopes are normaly found only on more expensive scopes. All Athlon Argos BTR rifle scopes have 4 times magnification range, and first focal plane reticles (reticle size change with magnification), for target distance measurements and hold over. All Athlon Argos BTR rifle scope models have fully multi coatings on inner lenses for better light transmission and contrast, and outer lenses have protective coatings named ˝XPL coating˝ for scratch resistance and for repeling dirt, water and oil off the lenses.

The turrets are tactile, and some models also have side parallax adjustment. The Athlon Argos BTR rifle scopes are made of one piece aircraft grade aluminum for extra strength, are waterproof and argon purged for fog proof use at low temperatures. The tube diameter is 30 mm, and all models feature reticle illumination with 11 intensity settings.

All Athlon Argos BTR can be ordered in MIL/MIL or MOA/MOA configurations.

The common goal of all tactical scopes is to hit the target with the first shot and to make compensation for bullet drop and wind drift as accurate and straightforward as possible. With a Mil/Mil scope, this goal can be achieved even easier. The name itself shows that these scopes have reticles that have subtensions divided in milliradians at all magnification settings and that their clicks matched with reticle subtensions and thus also in milliradians. Common features of Mil/Mil scopes are:
