Hi! Would you please advise - can the LH19 detect heat signatures during daylight hours? We rescue wildlife, in particular baby birds fallen from trees, during the day, after storms and strong winds. Can't sneak around every tree so would be great to cover bigger areas scouting for baby birds needing help. I'm sure this unit works very well at night..... but as yet am struggling to confirm anywhere online whether it'll work in daylight hours. 2K+ is already going to be difficult to scrape together, but if the unit isn't going to work unless it's dark outside then having paid that much is really going to sting. Thank you.

I think I have turned it off, next day it starts and shuts down due to flat battery. Only 4 weeks old.
