About Burris Optics

Burris Optics, founded in 1971 by Don Burris, used to be one of America’s biggest optics manufacturers. In 2002, the company was sold to Berreta, the oldest company in the world. Since 2002, Burris’ products have been progressively gaining in popularity in Europe thanks to Berreta’s distribution network there. The company’s product line mostly includes red dot sights, along with hunting and tactical riflescopes.

About Burris FastFire 4 red dot sight

The open reflex red dot sight FastFire 4 has been introduced in 2019, but Burris started to produce it in 2022. The dot features compact housing, weighing 46 g.

Fastfire 4 is made of aluminium alloy. The open compact reflex red dot sight is also waterproof, fog-proof, as well as shock-proof. The battery compartment is positioned behind the lens, which means the user does not need to remove the sight from the firearm in order to change the battery.

The elevation adjustment is located on the top of the Fastfire sight, and the windage adjustment is located on the right side of the sight. Both adjustments are made using a torx wrench.

The click value on Fastfire 4 is 1 MOA, meaning that one click moves the point of impact by 1.5 cm at 50m.

According to the manufacturer, the Fastfire 4 device has extended battery life in comparison to the FastFire III model – 26.000 hours. Also, when comparing it to the previous model, this one sports a bigger window, which results in faster target acquisition.

Fastfire 4 features Multi-reticle System. There are 4 different reticle types:

3 MOA Dot - The most popular for the use on a rifle
11 MOA Dot - Perfect for shooting with a pistol
65 MOA Circle with 3 MOA Dot
65 MOA Circle with 11 MOA Dot

Dot illumination

Burris Fastfire 4 has 2 different power modes you can choose from:

Automatic Brightness Mode - The sight will adjust the dot intensity according to the surrounding light conditions
Manual Brightness Mode - You can set the dot intensity to 3 levels according to your preference and surrounding light conditions

The Burris fastfire IV comes with a picatinny mount.

Removable weather shield

The Burris fastfire 4 red dot comes with a removable weather shield. This is a plastic cover that protects the lens from dirt, dust, and moisture. The shield uses slide-mounting solution, so it can be removed and replaced quickly and easily.

Can the Burris Fastfire4 be mounted on a Docter Noblex III mount? The 10Auto hunting pistol has a Docter III red dot mounted and does not hold the group due to strong bolt recoil. So, is it possible to mount a Burris FastFire4 on the Docter receiver, and in the stock, can the Buris withstand the recoil of a 10Auto caliber pistol?

Može li se Burris Fastfire4 montirati na prihvat od Docter Noblex III ? Na lovačkom pištolju u kalibru 10Auto montirana je crvena točka Docter III i ne drži grupu zbog jakog povratnog udarca zatvarača. Dakle, dali se može na prihvat Docter montirati Burris FastFire4 i u knačnici može li Buris izdržati povratni udar zatvarača pištolja u kalibru 10Auto ?

The Burris FastFire 4 red dot has the same so-called "footprint" as Docter/Noblex red dots. For the caliber 10 mm Auto, we suggest a slightly more durable red dot such as Trijicon or Aimpoint.

Looking at the gun manufacturers website we can se that one of the adapter plates is made for Vortex Venom, which is a Docter/Noblex standard, which the Buriss fastfire 4 also has.

Let us just warn you that we did not actually have the FastFire 4 model in stock yet, because it is a red dot that is not yet active on the market. The red dot can also be mounted on a Picatinny rail and will also handle .308 caliber recoil without issue. Shipping and customs charges are not included. The price of €359 is the price of the device including VAT.

Naj Vas zgolj opozorimo, da modela FastFire 4 dejansko na zalogi še nismo imeli, ker gre za rdečo piko, ki še ni aktivna na trgu. Rdečo piko je mogoče namestiti tudi na Picatinny letev, prav tako pa bo brez težav prenesla odsun kalibra .308. Stroški pošiljanja in carine niso vključeni. Cena 359€ je cena naprave z DDV (PDV).

Unfortunately, at this moment we can not confirm the exact footprint due to the fact that we never had this red dot in stock but we predict that the footprint will be exactly the same as it was on Burris FastFire 3 - Docter standard with thinner screws needed.
