Kepplinger Repetierer Rifle Review

The Kepplinger Repetierer is a bolt-action rifle designed by Hannes Kepplinger, who has previously worked for Steyr and was one of the designers who modified the Barnitzke system, leading to the development of the Steyr GB/Pi18/GB-8. The Repetierer/Jägerbüchse rifle was developed in the 1980s in Kufstein.

The rifle features a bolt with three locking lugs, an interchangeable barrel and blued receiver, fixed sight, a Bavarian cheekpiece, and a rubber recoil pad at the rear end of the wooden walnut stock. It is a typical west-European hunting rifle design with a chamber diameter similar to the one on Voere Titan. The detachable plastic magazine can hold up to 5 cartridges and can be removed by a push of a button located at the lower end of the forearm. There is a safety lever positioned on the right side of the receiver behind the bolt handle which blocks the trigger and firing pin. The rifle uses Kepplinger set trigger, also known as Frankonia set.

Although the production of various variants and a greater number of models was initially planned, the Kepplinger Repetierer rifle was distributed through Kettner only for a relatively short period.
