The History of Strasser

Strasser has been producing essential parts for hunting and sporting guns for renowned brands for decades. The company's parts, which are made at its Austrian facility, have also been used reliably and safely in rockets launched by the European Space Agency. However, Strasser's team is not just knowledgeable about gun production, but they are also passionate hunters who understand the needs of those in the field.

In 2005, the company introduced its pioneering straight-pull bolt action rifle, the RS 05, which became a significant development in hunting weapons. This model, which features a patented hydraulic barrel clamping system, has been well-received by hunters globally. In 2014, the RS 05 was improved and rereleased as the RS 14, which features a systematic and further developed LS barrel exchange system. The RS barrel exchange system, a new feature of the RS 14, allows for a highly accurate, repeatable, and reliable change of caliber, similar to the RS 05. It is a simple and innovative technology that will appeal to enthusiasts. For hunters who do not require a change of caliber, the RS SOLO offers all the benefits of a straight-pull bolt action rifle at a competitive price. The barrel of the RS SOLO comes in the caliber of your choice and performs consistently with high reliability.

The TAC 1 was specifically designed for sport shooting. It is a precision weapon with all the necessary properties that a marksman needs to succeed. Its safe, accurate design and ergonomic operating functions make a Strasser straight-pull bolt action rifle a reliable companion for hunting at home or abroad.

Strasser RS 14 Rifle Review

The Strasser RS 14 is a straight-pull bolt-action hunting rifle known for its accuracy and reliability. One of the standout features of this rifle is its smooth and reliable action. The bolt handle is easy to grip, and the bolt itself moves smoothly, making it a pleasure to use. The receiver of the RS 14 is made from durable materials and is built to last. Unlike the Strasser RS 14 Evolution with an integrated Picatinny rail, this rifle has a unique mounting surface.

The barrel length of the RS 14 is 560 mm (22 inches), a good length for a hunting rifle. It provides a good balance of accuracy and maneuverability and is suitable for a variety of hunting situations. The overall length of the RS 14 is 1040 mm (41 inches), which is a bit on the longer side. The longer length does make the rifle a bit more cumbersome to carry, but it helps to reduce recoil, a nice feature for those sensitive to recoil. The stock of the RS 14 is made from either wooden or synthetic material that is both durable and weather-resistant. It is also designed to be comfortable to hold and shoot and has a nice, ergonomic feel to it. The safety on the RS 14 is located on the back of the receiver and is easy to engage and disengage. It is also accompanied by a simple red cocking indicator on the upper part of the bolt. Titanium nitride is used to make the bolt head and the golden colored trigger.

One of the convenient features of the RS 14 is the detachable magazine, which allows for quick and easy loading and unloading of the rifle. The magazine holds up to four rounds of a standard caliber, a good amount for hunting, and the cartridges are easy to insert and remove. In summary, the Strasser RS 14 is a reliable and accurate hunting rifle, well-suited for a variety of hunting situations.
