The History of Schultz & Larsen

Schultz & Larsen is a Danish company that was founded in the mid-20th century by two brothers, Viggo, and Børge Schultz, and their friend, Jørgen Larsen. The company began as a small workshop producing hunting rifles and quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality firearms. In the 1950s, Schultz & Larsen began to expand its product line to include target rifles and other competitive shooting firearms.

Throughout the following decades, Schultz & Larsen continued to innovate and improve its products, and by the 1970s, the company had become one of the leading manufacturers of competitive shooting rifles in Europe. The company's rifles were used by many Olympic and international-level shooters and several world records have been set with rifles from Schultz & Larsen.

In recent years, Schultz & Larsen has shifted its focus towards producing high-end hunting rifles, while still maintaining its reputation for quality and precision. The company continues to operate in Denmark, where all of its rifles are still handmade by skilled craftsmen.

Schultz & Larsen 68 DL Rifle Review

The Schultz & Larsen 68 DL is a high-quality hunting bolt-action rifle that was first introduced in 1966, as a successor of the Schultz & Larsen 65 DL. The rifle features a bolt with two locking lugs that lock into the receiver, providing a secure and reliable lock-up for consistent accuracy. The action is smooth and easy to operate, allowing for quick and efficient follow-up shots.

The receiver is made of solid steel, providing a strong and durable platform for the action. The mounting surface is machined to precise tolerances, allowing for easy installation of optics and other accessories. There are three pre-tapped holes in the front and two in the rear of the receiver prepared for this matter. The trigger is adjustable and has a crisp break for precision shooting. The magazine holds up to 4 rounds of ammunition and is easy to load and unload. The stock is made of beautiful European walnut, providing a comfortable and secure grip, and adding a touch of class to the rifle. The safety is located on the right side of the receiver and can be easily engaged or disengaged with the thumb.

The barrel measures 680 mm (26.8 inches) in length and the overall length of the rifle equals 1200 mm (47.2 inches). With its precise craftsmanship and high-quality components, the Schultz & Larsen 68 DL bolt-action rifle is a great rifle for hunting and target shooting enthusiasts.
