About the Antonio Zoli

Antonio Zoli s.r.l. was founded immediately after World War II in 1945 by Antonio Zoli. The company soon grew into one of the most relevant industrial activities in the area thanks to Antonio’s gunsmithing skills and his son’s marketing skills. In the early 1960s the Antonio Zoli brand was already known and appreciated not only for the quality but also for the uniqueness of the guns produced, which could be told apart from other traditional Italian guns available at that time. Antonio Zoli was the first Italian company which could compete with the most famous European rifles manufacturers, which were at that time mostly from Germany and Austria.

Antonio Zoli Express Rifle Review

Antonio Zoli Express over/under break action rifles are the perfect hunting companion for almost every situation, if the user has additional one or two sets of barrels with him when hunting. Normally, the length of the barrel is around 55cm (22’’), although this may differ depending on the rifle version. Antonio Zoli Safari models are designed with double trigger, while Express models only have single trigger. The wooden butt plates are finely chequered on all versions.

  • Marocchi FinnClassic 512S, 612S
  • Steyr Mannlicher Duett

This means if one of the rifle mounts is named for one of the rifles mentioned in the list, it will fit others as well.

Our recommendation for mounts

Fixed mounts:

We would recommend this MAKipp mount, which is more on the expensive side of mounts for 12mm dovetail, but that would match well with the rifle, that is also considered expensive compared to other break action O/U rifles.

Detachable repeatable mounts:

The price of this INNOmount is somewhere in the middle, but an advantage compared to other detachable mounts is the clamping mechanism, which ensures better repeatability.

Picatinny rails:

We would recommend MAKipp Picatinny rail, as it is one of the few that would fit this rifle.

Help us build our riflescope mounts database

If you have this rifle or any other rifle at home, we would really appreciate it if you could send us some photos of the rifle receiver (mounting surface of the rifle when there are no mounts installed), because it would help us expand our rifle mounts database. If you send us a photo of rifle receiver which we don’t already have, that would be of great value to us and we will definitely reward you for your help.
