RPA Quadlite

The History of RPA International

RPA International Limited (formerly known as RPA Precision Ltd.) is a British company that designs and manufactures high-precision bolt-action rifles and actions. The company was founded in the early 1990s, and quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the most accurate rifles in the world.

Their rifles are known for their use of advanced manufacturing techniques, such as computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM). The company also uses a variety of high-quality materials in its rifles, such as stainless steel and carbon fiber. The barrels are precision-machined to ensure the highest possible tolerances. This ensures that the barrel is perfectly straight and that the bore is perfectly smooth. RPA is also well-known for its Quadlock and Quadlite actions that are the heart of most of their rifles.

Unfortunately, the information about the specific historical events of the company is quite scarce. The company’s site is still operatable in 2023, however, some informal sources suggest that the RPA International was purchased by an asset sale by Rangemaster Precision Arms Limited in 2011. RPA International's liquidation was apparently precipitated by its bankers' refusal to extend the loan payment period.

RPA Quadlite Action Review

The RPA Quadlite is the lighter version of the company’s actions. It is ideal for bench, varmint, and competition shooters and presents the foundation for numerous RPA rifles that are built around it. The Quadlite is designed to provide a solid and consistent platform for the barrel and bolt which has four locking lugs.

The actions are made from high-quality materials and are precision-machined to ensure the highest possible tolerances. This ensures that the action is strong and reliable, and that the barrel and bolt are in perfect alignment. A unique ejection mechanism in the RPA's Quadlite action cams on the bolt release to extract any case with ease.

Using a pilaster-style bolt body with 360-degree contact, the action features a quick 45-degree bolt throw. Both single shot and repeater action models are available in right and left side configurations. The tops of the actions come with drilled and tapped holes which can be used for scope mounting purposes. The Quadlite is available in 308 bolt face.

The upper part of the Quadlite receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting purposes. There are three holes on the front and three holes on the rear end of the mounting surface.

Scope Mounts Interchangeable With RPA Quadlite Action

Rifles That Have One-Piece Scope Mounts Interchangeable With RPA Quadlite Action

For one-piece mounts to fit on a rifle, mounting surfaces on these rifles must match in every dimension.

Rifles That Have Two-Piece Scope Mounts Interchangeable With RPA Quadlite Action

To meet interchangeability conditions, two-piece mounts must match in all dimensions except the B distance. B distance can vary because two-piece mounts can be installed and adjusted closer or further apart.

Unfortunately, we were unable to find specific holes spacings for RPA Quadlite action and are thus unable to provide you with a finite list of interchangeable scope mounts. Should you happen to own this rifle and would be willing to share with us more information regarding interchangeability, we kindly ask you to contact us at info@optics-trade.eu
