Burris, along with Leupold and Bushnell, was one of the biggest American optics manufacturers 20 years ago. The company was sold to Berreta, the oldest company in the world, in 2002 – Burris became a part of the Beretta Holding S.p.A group which is the owner of some other renowned companies such as Benelli, Franchi, Sako, Tikka, and Steiner. Since 2002, Burris products have been steadily gaining in popularity in Europe thanks to Berreta’s distribution network there.
