Schmidt&Bender Klassik 8x56 is a traditional European riflescope for traditional european rifles. It has proven it self as the best choice for low light hunting and the first choice for this kind of use. Schmidt&Bender Klassik riflescopes are designed for hunters who seek good quality in a traditional construction and do not require an illuminated reticle. They perform well in poor light conditions and dusk or dawn hunting. The reticle is seated in the first focal plane and will change in size according to magnification. All Schmidt&Bender Klassik series riflescopes are waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen for easy use at low temperatures. All lens surfaces are multi coated and the construction ensures safe use on even the most powerful hunting rifles. Schmidt&Bender Klassik riflescopes have a warranty period of 10 years and an additional 20 years guarantee for service and maintenance.

Best pure hunting rifle scope.

I purchased the Schmidt and Bender 8x56 Klassic (Germany) with illuminated L3 reticle for deer hunting in the USA after reviewing the Optics Trade article on low light rifle scopes. I own three other Schmidt and Bender Klassic scopes with variable power. The edge to edge image quality of the fixed power 8x56 is superior to the variables. The length of the scope tube allows for correct eye relief on my long action rifle. Talley rings and bases were used for mounting. At the range, the rifle zeroed in with three shots and remains repeatable. Hunters looking for a simple, rugged, pure hunting rifle scope should not over look the 8x56 Klassic.

Good day. Just bought today and I’m needing a flip up lens cap for the “eye end” but unsure what will fit over the focusing bezel. Schimidt and Bender 8x56 Hungarian LM L3. Hope you can advise, regards.
