The History of Effebi

Effebi was founded in 1975 by Dr. Franco Beretta, a former sales manager for Breda, an Italian gunmaker. Initially named after Dr. Beretta, the company underwent a transformation, eventually becoming Effebi SNC and then in later years Effebi SRL. Despite sharing the name and surname, Dr. Franco Beretta of Effebi is not directly tied to the renowned Beretta firearms family.

Initially, Effebi focused on marketing shotguns and accessories within Italy and internationally. Rapid growth led to the construction of a new, larger 1800 square meter facility, housing both offices and production departments.

Over the years, the company has presented various firearms, such as over and under, express, side-by-side, and single barrel rifles with models like the Master, Inceptor, Terminator GP 16 TRAP, Black Moon, Beta and many more.

In 2000, Effebi expanded its portfolio by acquiring Italy's sole specialist manufacturer of airgun pellets, resulting in a new manufacturing plant for air rifle and pistol pellets in various calibers and styles. In recent years, the company has also started producing high-grade shotguns for hunting and target shooting, along with a line of side-by-side shotguns. In collaboration with other companies, they have extended their offer to include various essential weapon parts such as barrels, side-locks, rubber recoil pads, chokes, and stocks and forends for different brands of sporting guns.

Effebi Terminator Rifle Review

The Effebi Terminator is a single shot rifle with a unique folding mechanism that enables it to be positioned almost parallel to the stock. The two parts of the rifle are held together by a large hinge and locked in place by a solid steel block positioned on the lower end of the locking mechanism. The carbine features a cold forged rifled barrel made of high-quality steel and is primarily designed for big game hunting.

The Terminator is available either with 560 mm (22-inch) or 660 mm (26-inch) barrels. The receiver is made of a solid block of forged steel and serves as the housing for the trigger group. On the upper end of the receiver, there is an opening lever which has to be pulled to the side for the rifle to open.

Whenever the rifle is closed, the safety engages automatically which prevents any shot placements until the safety lever placed on the rear end of the action is disengaged. The trigger on the Terminator comes factory preset and is adjusted to a pull weight of approximately 1200 g (2.6 lbs). Rifles come with preinstalled iron sights and a rubber recoil pad at the end of the stock.

For one-piece mounts to fit on a rifle, mounting surfaces on these rifles must match in every dimension.

Rifles That Have Two-Piece Scope Mounts Interchangeable With Effebi Terminator

To meet interchangeability conditions, two-piece mounts must match in all dimensions except the B distance. B distance can vary because two-piece mounts can be installed and adjusted closer or further apart.

Although some Effebi rifles do come with a preinstalled Weaver rail for optics mounting purposes, there are several other options available on the market.
