How do you rate this product?

Works, but fits best on a rounded stock underside.

Caldwell Pic Rail Adaptor Plate is a good little adapter for when you need a small picatinny rail on your rifle, but only have swivel studs to mount attachments to. – and at the same time not losing the swivel for attaching your sling.
Though it is easy to install (when you figure out have to handle the rubber interface), you need to be careful when torqueing down the screws – I overtighten and ripped the treads on one of the screw holes, luckily there was room for cutting a new tread and add a bigger screw without interfering with the rail.
My first installation was on a Mossberg MVP, where the underside of the stock is pretty flat, I don’t think this adapter fits too well with a flat stock, the contact surface is not that big, so you feel need to tighten more.
My second installation was on a Remington700, with a much rounder underside of the stock, it feels to have a much better contact surface between the stock and the adapter.
