What is the Zero range to set the rifle when using the 6.5 CMR reticle ? https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0278/1626/3766/files/reticle-6_5-Creedmoor-RD.pdf?v=1659694392 I did try to calculate the value using meopta values from the reticle and compared them with ballistik values from Tikka rifle + sako cartridge on sako calculator. It seems the reticle follows with reasonable accurasy when zeroed to 100 m. 3 gives range of 200m, 4; 300 m etc. But the reticle first value is 3, not 2. this makes me think that maybe reticle should be zeroed to 200 m ? But I cant figure how the setting would work compared to 6.5 cmr ballistic values. Hope I made enough sense to get some answers. Thank you.

by Jussi

Dear Sir,

thank you for contacting us.

We did some calculations regarding this reticle, and we think you should zero in your rifle at 200m, or at 100m with 4cm higher impacts.
like this, the ballistic data should be pretty correct with the markings in the reticle.

If it still doesn't work well, please send us the data about your ammunition so that we can make more precise calculations.

Thank you. I noticed that Sako Ballistic calculator ready values for their own ammunition gives only 805 m/s speed for the 9,3 g 6,5 Creedmoor Speedhead Bullet. This value might not be correct as many other bullet is listed with higher speeds. Or at least it might explain the difference with in the reticle base values and my calculations. I don't have speedmeter to verify the exact values, so I just have to do some test shots on different distances. What speed and weight did you use on your calculations? + what bullet and barrel length, as it seems they also affect the values somewhat.

by Jussi

Dear Sir,

thank you for contacting us again.

We've calculated the ballistics with the same bullet you mentioned, but with 820m/s.

Based on our calculations, the bullet drop should be like this (zeroed at 200m):
300m: 2.4 MOA or 0.7 MRAD (21cm drop) - in the reticle 3 is for 2.5 MOA
400m: 5.5 MOA or 1.6 MRAD (65cm drop) - in the reticle 4 is for 5.59 MOA
500m: 9.1 MOA or 2.7 Mrad (133cm drop) - in the reticle 5 is for 9.17 MOA
600m: 13.1 MOA or 3.8 MRAD (229cm drop) - in the reticle 6 is for 13.37 MOA

So as you can see, it is quite precise, with just small differences.
We think this reticle was designed with 140gr match ammo, with a bullet and bullet speed we don't know.
So to get the exact ballistics it's almost impossible.

to get you exact speed of your bullet it is quite easy- zero in at 100m, and then shoot at a long-range target (400-500m).
Use the turret to get the exact elevation on your target, and then try to change the speed in your ballistic calculator as long that you get the exact same bullet drop as you've actually needed to hit the target.

Hello! The website says that the Meopta Optics 6, 4,5-27x50 is in stock. I would like to know if this information is correct. If it is true and that the cross has MRAD1, FFP, i.e. the illuminated little cross with the dot, then I would come to it. Thank you for your reply

Pozdravljeni! Na spletni strani je zapisano, da je na zalogi Meopta optika 6, 4,5-27x50. Zanima me če podatek drži. Če drži in da ima križ MRAD1, FFP, torej osvetljen mali križec s pikico, potem bi prišel ponj. Hvala za odgovor,

by Marko

Hello I have to buy the Meopta MeoPro Optika6 4.5-27x50 FFP Reticle MT 308 illuminated when time is needed for delivery in Italy Milan.

by Stefano Mannias

The delivery time for Optika6 scopes is currently extremely prolonged due to immense demand and the lack of assembly parts from the manufacturer. It should take approximately 8 weeks.

by Optics Trade team

This MeOpta Optika6 has MRAD reticle and MOA Turrets? Do I understand correct?

by Dmitry

MIL based reticles have 1 cm/100 m clicks while MOA based reticles feature 1/4 MOA clicks.

by Optics Trade team

Hi! Do i understand correctly, that the illuminated version of 6.5CM has a red dot?

by Guntars

That is correct. 6.5 Creedmoor RD has an illuminated central dot.
