The History of Schultz & Larsen

Schultz & Larsen is a Danish company that was founded in the mid-20th century by two brothers, Viggo, and Børge Schultz, and their friend, Jørgen Larsen. The company began as a small workshop producing hunting rifles and quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality firearms. In the 1950s, Schultz & Larsen began to expand its product line to include target rifles and other competitive shooting firearms.

Throughout the following decades, Schultz & Larsen continued to innovate and improve its products, and by the 1970s, the company had become one of the leading manufacturers of competitive shooting rifles in Europe. The company's rifles were used by many Olympic and international-level shooters and several world records have been set with rifles from Schultz & Larsen.

In recent years, Schultz & Larsen has shifted its focus towards producing high-end hunting rifles, while still maintaining its reputation for quality and precision. The company continues to operate in Denmark, where all of its rifles are still handmade by skilled craftsmen.

Schultz & Larsen Tactical Rifle Review

The Schultz & Larsen Tactical is a bolt-action rifle designed for precision shooting. The rifle features a switch barrel system, which is interchangeable with any Classic or Victory model barrel. The rifle comes in two versions, the steel action version, and the aluminum action version, which is about 400 g lighter.

The rifle's solid medium or large bolt handle has a sixty-degree opening angle, and the well-designed push-feed action features three locking lugs that lock into the barrel. In terms of safety, this rifle uses Schultz & Larsen’s three-position safety that locks the bolt and the firing pin. The center position enables unloading of the rifle while the safety stays on. The rifle also has a two-stage trigger, with the first stage taking up 60% of the pull weight, allowing for a better precision. For scope mounting purposes, there is an integrated Picatinny rail on the receiver, making it easy to find a suitable solution.

The tactical PSE stock is made of strong carbon fiber and features an adjustable comb, allowing for a customized fit and optimal shooting comfort. It has two pre-fitted sling swivel studs, making it easy to carry and transport. The barrel length that depends on the caliber, ranging from 560 - 650 mm.
