I have a vx-6 3-18x44 with a firedot. The firedot used to flash when it was out of level but now is just constantly a solid dot when turned on. Is this an indication that the battery is going dead or a problem with the scope?

If the red dot in the reticle flashes then it is recommended to turn the illumination off and then back on. After that, if the red dot still flashes then this is an indication that the battery is low and it needs to be replaced.
